Yesterday my wife and I spent the day at the Dallas Arboretum and enjoyed magnificence of their garden artistry and floral colors. While it was hot, there was plenty to see and places to step into and cool off, rehydrate and enjoy a snack.
Additionally, the Arboretum is showcasing sculptures in stone from Zimbabwe, a country in south east Africa. Artists are on site this month and provide a demonstrations of their time, creativity and efforts that goes into each piece of art; whether for your table top, or a centerpiece in your estate garden.
Here are 10 reasons to visit this Dallas treasure:
Spectacular horticultural beauty
Delightful dining in the Visitor Pavilion
Breezes of the lake on a hot day - and what day is NOT hot in July?!
Evening concerts on the stage in the summer
Rory Meyers Children's garden and splash pad
Floral displays that change all year
Cherry blossom time in April
Gazebos, pergolas, and flower houses
Sweet scents on every walkway
